Sílvio was born in 1979, in the city of Pouso Alegre, but he lived his whole life in Borda Mata, which unfortunately did not have a hospital at the time of his birth and could not have been conceived there. The farm has been in the family for several generations, it belonged to his mother's grandfather, and with the successions and inheritances today it belongs to his father Benedito. His father, after a lot of hard work and many teachings passed on, is now 71 years old, and still helps his son in the local coffee tree. As a result, Silvio and his father take care of the entire farm with great zeal and hard work, which contains a total of 10,000 coffee trees.
