André was born and raised in the district of São José do Mato Dentro, in the city of Ouro Fino - MG, his father was already a farm worker, but an employee of some landowners in the region. Reaching maturity, André began to help his father on the farms where he worked. In 2006, as a result of a lot of effort and dedication, they managed to acquire their piece of land, at the time totaling 2 bushels, where they began to grow coffee. Gradually they were harvesting, reinvesting and increasing the crop. Today, helped by his brother Joarez, André is responsible for a total of 51.000 coffee trees. André also has the help of his son, who like his father, at age 19 already helps with the farm work.
